How To Balance The Solar Plexus Chakra
In Sanskrit, the solar plexus chakra, or Manipura, means "city of jewels." It is the center of personal power and is located in the upper belly at the diaphragm. Personality, ego, and identity, as well as personal freedom, choice, and authenticity, are all governed by this chakra.
Motivation, willpower, and purpose are all aspects of the solar plexus chakra that stem from one's sense of personal efficacy. The solar plexus chakra is also linked to self-esteem and self-perception. This chakra also governs the digestive system and its organs, so it has jurisdiction over the emotional brain of the gut as well as stored emotions.
Signs of a Blocked Manipura Chakra
Digestive issues arise when the Manipura Chakra is out of alignment. This can manifest as nutrient misprocessing, constipation, or irritable bowel syndrome. Eating disorders, ulcers, diabetes, and problems with the pancreas, liver, and colon are all symptoms of an imbalance in the Manipura Chakra's energy center.
An emotional imbalance can also result from an imbalance. Starting with apprehension and mistrust of the people in your life, you'll be filled with concerns about what others may think of you. Some people may struggle with low self-esteem and seek constant validation and approval from others. Unhealthy attachments to people in your life may result from this imbalance.

How To Balance The Solar Plexus Chakra
1. Affirmations
Incorporating affirmations into chakra-balancing work can also be beneficial. They're frequently used in yoga sequences or guided meditations, but they can also be used at any time during the day when the solar plexus needs a boost. (For example, say a few of these in the morning in front of the bathroom mirror.) The following are some affirmations for the solar plexus chakra:
- I have purpose.
- I am enough.
- I am confident and authentic.
- I forgive myself for past mistakes, and I learn from them.
- I know who I am and I live true to myself.
- I stand in my personal power.
- I am strong, capable, and powerful.
2. Heal from the past
Many of our past traumas are stored in our bodies and continue to influence our thoughts and behaviors. People who have had a strict upbringing, bullying, or authoritarian parents, as well as those who have been subjected to mental or physical abuse, have a hard time balancing the third chakra. Therapy loved ones' support, and other healthy activities can all help to start the process of healing and restoring balance to the solar plexus chakra.
3. Burn Manipura incense and essential oils
Aromatherapy has the ability to instill a sense of personal power in us. Burn saffron, musk, sandalwood, ginger, cinnamon incense, and essential oils to open the solar plexus.
4. Solar Plexus Crystals
Unique stones and their energetic properties have an impact on each chakra. Tiger's eye has a strong influence on the solar plexus chakra. When balancing your solar plexus chakra, meditate with the tiger's eye or carry the stone with you to allow the stone's energetic properties to assist in restoring balance. A tiger's eye rollerball is included in our Solar Plexus Chakra Essential Oil Blend to help balance your solar plexus chakra.
5. Get Outside
The element of fire has a strong influence on the solar plexus chakra. On sunny days, getting outside can help open and balance your third chakra. Allowing your solar plexus energy to flow can be as simple as going for a walk, meditating, or simply sunbathing.
6. New Experiences
The solar plexus chakra is in charge of assisting you in discovering your true self and discovering your true purpose in life. Experiencing new hobbies, cultures, and ideas outside of your comfort zone can help open and balance your solar plexus chakra.
7. Build heat
It's all about the heat in the solar plexus chakra! After all, it's solar, as in the sun. So get a fire going. Sweat. Use yoga poses or other methods to raise your heart rates, such as a boxing class, a jog, or pilates.
8. Binaural Beats Meditation
Each chakra has a unique frequency that can be balanced by listening to the frequency that corresponds to it. When meditating on chakras, I frequently use binaural beats and have had great success doing so. Though it may be tempting to press play and drift off, bringing our awareness to the location of the chakra and observing sensations there, whether gross or subtle, as well as any emotions that may arise, is more effective than passively listening.
